i got a package in the mail today.  it was from auntie emily!  my first b-day present!  yay!  i can’t wait to open it tomorrow.  mommy got me a present today also.  she ordered mine last week, but it seems to have gotten lost or something so she went to mothercare to get it for me.  i can’t wait to see what daddy bought me.  i can’t wait for tomorrow.  here are some pictures from yesterday and today.  the iphone is always so handy.

it was raining today so i stayed indoors.  today i went from my belly to sitting position all by myself.  daddy is out of town today.  =/  he's not going to be home till friday night.  usually i'm asleep by the time he gets home.  so i'll see him on saturday.  monday is a bank holiday for daddy.  yay!

daddy found out today that the earliest we can move into our new place is the 25th of september.  sucks... i'm very eager to get into the new place.  oh well.  i hope i'm not scared or my new room.

there was a gala this past weekend at the park down the street from our flat.  not much i could do there since i don't walk or anything, but we checked it out anyways.  i saw a horse for the first time.

i had a bad day yesterday.  daddy and mommy dressed me up all pretty and took me out to see what was going on at the west end festival.  we got as far as the botanic garden when i started to get upset at things that i don't normally.  daddy was smart and said we should go home.  i fell asleep on the way home, but as always, the elevator in our building always wakes me up.  it'll say..."ground floor", "doors opening", and "doors closing".  we get into the elevator and just as i'm falling back asleep it'll say... "3rd floor", "doors opening", and "doors closing".  we got inside and mommy was going to put me in bed.  she felt my stomach grumble.  she knew what was coming.  i blew chunks all over her.  daddy and mommy cleaned me up.  i took a very, very long nap, so long that mommy was worried and had to check in on me.  she worries too much.

we're still not sure what it was.  might have been bad chicken and carrots i had for lunch.  mommy threw out the rest of the chicken.  or it could have been the heat.  mommy dressed me quite warmly, but then the sun came out.  i didn't eat anything for the rest of the day.  when i woke up, mommy tried to give me some milk... bad idea... she gave me a rice cake... another bad idea... water... still no good.  i ended up going to bed without eating at all.  i woke up around 3:30 am.  mommy gave me some water.  it took a little while for me to fall back asleep.  i woke up very hungry this morning at 8:30 am.  mommy mushed up a banana for me to eat, but i was still hungry.  she mushed up another half of a banana.  it stayed down!!!  good thing too cuz i don't think mommy could handle me being sick all by herself.  daddy had to fly off to southhampton this morning.

mommy and i walked out of our flat... well i was sitting in the stroller... and some lady asked mommy and me to watch her baby while she went inside the community centre to find her husband.  the baby was strapped in the car seat inside the car with all the doors opened.  she was gone for a few minutes.  maybe it's just me... but i don't wouldn't want mommy just to leave me with a stranger for a few minutes.

while daddy's gone, mommy sends pictures of me to him every day.  it's just to let daddy know what i've been doing.  here's some of the stuff i've been doing... sorry if these are a little fuzzy.  they were taken on mommy's iphone.  oh yea, one more thing.  the health visitor came by on friday.  i now weigh 14 lbs 10 oz.

it's been a while.  let's talk about my food intake.  it was going well for a while.  i was eating everything, but now it's kinda tapered off.  i really like fruits... i don't like veggies that much.  i like my fruity baby cereal the best.  i eat tons of that in the morning.  i eat less for lunch.  especially if daddy or mommy feeds me veggies.  mommy's going to try a different recipe to encourage me to eat my veggies.  

i have learned some new tricks.  i yell when i want attention.  it's funny when mommy or daddy walks out of the room, and i yell.  they turn right around to check on me.  tee hee.  i don't like to play alone so much anymore.  i like to have mommy or daddy next to me.  again, i yell when i don't get my way.

daddy was gone all last week, and he's going to be gone this week too.  mommy takes me out every day it's not raining.  we went to the library.  i applied for my first library card.  they also had bounce and rhyme time there.  it was fun.  there were a lot of babies.  we sang a lot of songs and listened to a story.  i can't wait to go again this week.

it was a beautiful day yesterday.  it was one of those days where when the sun was shining on you it was perfect.  daddy and mommy took me to the botanic gardens.  there were lots of kids playing around there.  i can't wait till i'm old enough to join in.  i saw a lot of pretty flowers and tons of different colors.  daddy says great grandma would love it.  we didn't stay too long.  a cold breeze came through, and daddy and mommy thought it might be too cold for me.  we went home and i took a very long nap.  so long that it kept me up till 11 pm last night.

mommy has only given me baby rice and carrot puree so far.  today she made pear puree and sweet potato puree for tomorrow.  when mommy puts pear into my mouth i make a sour face.  the pear wasn't sour... mommy checked.  i just like to make that face.  i spit most of it out.  mommy did figure out that it was easier to feed me with her finger than with the spoon.  mommy plans on making broccoli, apple, and maybe green bean puree later this week.  

gordon and kirsty invited mommy, daddy, and i to dinner last night.  i had a great time.  i love seeing people and going to new places.  kirsty gave me a rusk biscuit.  mommy and daddy had never heard of them before.  i loved it!  it's a biscuit that pretty much just dissolves in your mouth.  i loved it so much that when mommy tried to wipe away what was left around my mouth, i yelled.  mommy ordered some in next week's grocery delivery for me.

daddy, mommy, and i went to the scottish baby show yesterday.  while we were there, we spoke with the clinic who specializes in baby's head shape.  a lady measured my head.  she said my head was only moderately misshapen and said that we should just keep me off my back whenever i am awake.  that means about 12 hours a day.  i get kinda tired =/.  oh yea... the lady who measured my head asked daddy and mommy if they shaved my head!  i just don't have hair.  i can't help that!

last night i slept almost 8 hours straight.  i was tired from my day out.  daddy and mommy needed to go to the bank, but the only one that was open on saturday past 12:30 was in city centre.  so we took the subway.  daddy and mommy took me out in the maclaren stroller instead of the travel system.  mommy figured it would be easier to fold up for the subway.    i still am quite small for the maclaren stroller but no big deal.

we went to the bank... daddy has finally established credit in the uk as the bank offered him a credit card.  good job daddy!  we stopped off at mothercare, the mall and pret a manger.  after that we went back into the mall to change my nappy.  that's when we realized that we were late getting back to the flat to meet the washer/dryer repairman.  daddy and mommy ran home quickly.  the repairmen waited for us.  too bad they were unable to fix it.

while we were in the states i got to see my great-grandparents.  aunt amber and my cousin riley took us over to their house one of the first days we were there.  they have a dog that doesn't like children.  something about being traumatized by aunt emily when she was younger.  riley insisted on getting near the dog many, many times.  i wonder what the dogs will think of me when i get older.  i miss my great-grandparents.  i wonder when they're going to come to scotland to visit me.

i'm still have a bit of a stuffy nose.  it's not fun.  makes it hard to sleep and eat sometimes.  i have to turn my head to one side to sleep, and i can't sleep with my pacifier in my mouth.  this makes me wake up crying more often at night.  it's also affecting my naps.  i take more naps, but they're shorter.  hopefully my stuff nose will go away.  mommy and daddy are losing sleep taking care of me.

my first two family outings were to the mall.  we went to silverburn mall two saturdays ago and braehead mall this past monday before grandma left.  they are both pretty new and modern.  i love the fact that these malls cater to families.  they have huge baby changing rooms.  inside, there were around 10 changing station, a breastfeeding area, bottle warmers and a place where older children can play.  daddy picked out some new sleeping suits for me at next.  they fit my little body perfectly.
