today was a big day for greenock.  it's not every day a cruise ship comes to dock in the town.  it was a pretty big deal.  it was in the news this morning.  queen mary 2 is one of the largest ships ever built.  it even has a planetarium inside.  daddy called mommy and told her that there were going to be fireworks at 6:00 pm today before the ship sails at 6:30.  i woke up from my nap at 5:45.  mommy got me dressed real quick and we headed out to the esplanade.  there were tons of people out there.  we took a few pictures, but 6:30 rolled around and nothing was happening.  i got bored.  plus it was cold outside, and i was hungry.  mommy took me home.  right when we walked through the door, we heard a ship horn blow, and the fireworks started.  mommy took me to the back garden to watch my first fireworks.  it was pretty, but i was still hungry.  we heard another ship horn blow around 7:15.  apparently that's when it sailed away.  i hear everything started late because the tours that the cruise had was 45 minutes late.
