my unswaddled sleep

mommy and daddy have been trying to not swaddle me when i take naps.  it hasn't been going so well.  my naps have been about 30 minutes.  it use to be an hour to an hour and a half.  now, mommy is trying to leave just one arm out.  still... 30 minute naps.  i guess it'll just take some getting use to.  i'm still swaddled at night.

mommy is still concerned about my flat head.  daddy and mommy have not been letting me lay down these past few days.  i have not been getting that much time to play on my playmat.  i was really upset about that.  i was fussy, fussy, fussy until last night.  mommy finally gave in and laid me down on the playmat.  i was so happy after that.  i missed my friends on my playmat.

mommy has been reading a lot of forums and websites about plagiocephaly and brachycephaly.  she read that all of the national health care doctors and nurses will say that it's correct itself and that hair will cover it up.  they consider it an astetic and not a medical issue.  that is exactly what the health visitor has been saying to mommy.  mommy says my head looks like some of the kids in the pictures on the websites.  daddy and mommy doesn't think it's bad enought to be a medical issue, but they are concerned.  they're not that worried at the fact that my head is flat but more concerned about the slight bulge on the right side.  daddy and mommy have decided to make an appointment to get my head measured.  mommy found out today that the only clinic that does this in glasgow is currently servicing over 200 babies.  it may be a long wait. =/  of course if daddy and mommy decide they want a helmet for me.  the earlier, the better.
